Library Account

Users of the İstanbul Kültür University libraries can open a "Library Account" using their username and password. You can access your member number and your library account through the University’s website, monitor your books that are due, extend borrowing periods or reserve new books.

The login screen used to open a private session is located in the top right corner of the search website.

 Username: Your IKU mail address
 Parola:  IKU UNIPASS (Orion student information system, student domain, student e-mail, CATS)

Library Account Menus:

Personal Information:
This is where you can check and change your personal information. You can also change your password, ask for help from the library staff when you have a problem with your password and update contact information.

Borrowed Items:
This is where you can view the publications you have borrowed and the ones you still have in your possession. Here you can view the date of return as well as the information about the publication. The library management allows users to extend borrowing periods via the internet. The time extension icon in the “Borrowed Items” menu will be activated 2 days prior to the date of return. You can extend the borrowing period by clicking on this icon. The borrowing period for any publication can be extended for two more times and for the same period of time. If a reservation has been made on a publication whose borrowing period is going to be extended or if the publication is overdue, the time extension icon will not be activated. In such cases, the publication is required to be returned. If you are in possession of an overdue publication, you will not be given an extension for the borrowing period of any other publications.

Returned Items:
This is where you can access information related to the publications that you have borrowed and returned.

Reserved Items:
This is where you can see the publications you have reserved. When you search through your private session, you can make reservations on materials that have been borrowed by and still in the possession of others. Thanks to the reservation option, when the material in circulation is returned, it will be kept on your behalf.

Penalties:

This is the area where you will be able to view penalties if you have returned library items later than the date of return or if you already have an overdue item.

Request:
This is the field where you can view your item requests and statuses. “Item Request Form” is the form that you should fill in for the resources that you want to be added to the library collection via purchasing and “ILL Form”is the form that you should fill in for loaning process between libraries. Item Request Form is for all users (faculty members, students, administrative staff, İKÜMED members) ILL Form is available to our faculty members.
